Location
The Herdade dos Alfanges is located 165 km from Lisbon and 35 km from Évora, the journeys take 1 ½ hours and a ¼ hour respectively. The motorway from Lisbon takes you directly to Évora and then a very good secondary road takes you to Viana do Altentejo. From Viana do Alentejo its another 5km to Vila Nova do Baronia and then a further 2 Km to the Herdade dos Alfanges.

In addition to the car access to Vila Nova da Baronia there is also an excellent intercity commuter service. The train leaves the centre of Lisbon from the combined metro and rail link called Entrecampos twice a day and the journey time is 1 hour and 40 minutes. Alternative rail links are available but these take longer.

The clostest international airport is in Lisbon. There is a small airport in Évora that takes small private and commercial traffic.
